One Sunday last month we met Riley and her family and hiked to the Cascades. This was the first time the boys had been and I was really impressed with how they did. Owen easily made it up and back (I think it really helped that Riley was with us, peer pressure can be a good thing!) and Ben made it about 1.5 miles. Of course, that left 2.5 miles that we carried him in the backpack, but we'll pretend that didn't happen :) Here's a few pictures from our adventure.
Ben was off and running for the first mile (Note: he was not nearly that perky on the way back, and I think he would have made it further if he would've conserved his energy. But, I guess when you're 3 its all-or-nothing.)
