The end of June found us preparing for the long-awaited annual Rorrer Beach Week. The kids were really excited about our trip and had been counting down the days for months!
Ben was ready to go the night before departure with his backpack (filled with monster trucks, fire trucks and stickers), spiderman glove and chainsaw. It was all we could do to get him to take these off for bath and bed :)
The trip there went really well. This was the first time Ben rode in the "big kid car" (on previous trips he had ridden with Granddaddy and Nana) and the first time he got to use the "earmuffs" to watch a movie. The look of surprise on his face when the sound started was priceless!
The boys were tuckered out after the long trip and an afternoon in the water. This is not quite the way I envisioned them sharing a bed, but, hey, whatever works!
