This year's birthday present to Owen was the promise of a weekend trip to the place of his choice (within reason!). He chose D.C. which was the perfect excuse to spend the weekend hanging out with Courtney! On Saturday we rode the metro into the city and went to the Lincoln Memorial, had lunch on the mall, then visited the Native American History Museum. We ended the evening by having dinner with Courtney's family. It was a perfect day! Unfortunately, despite having a child in diapers, I managed to leave the diaper bag in the car!!! And since the camera was inside the diaper bag, we didn't get any pictures of that perfect day :( We did a little better on Sunday, which was spent at the Air and Space Museum.
