Sunday we went to the Pumpkin Festival at Sinkland Farms. The weather was perfect, which meant that everyone in the county was there! But they have so much space and so much to do that we still had a great time.
First we went to the kid's petting zoo. There were chickens, turkeys, goats, pigs, cows and horses. Ben was a little scared of all of them--he kept saying "that pig lookin at me! its coming to get me!" Owen was brave enough to pet the big belgian draft horse.
They also had a big pile of hay for the kids to climb on. Owen and Ben both made it to the top.
Owen loved the pony ride!
The pumpkin sling-shot was a lot of fun :)
This was a classic Owen-Ben interaction. Owen grabbed Ben by the shoulders and said "Stop! Don't touch it! That's a sticker bush!" Ben shook free, calmly looked at Owen, reached out and grabbed the sticker bush.
The rule was that if you couldn't pick it up you couldn't take it home. This is the pumpkin that Owen ended up with.
Milking the "cow"
Kettle Corn!
The best part about having an almost-five-year-old: we no longer have to take our own picture, Owen can do it for us! Notice Ben trying to get into the car behind us.
